Kurt Billings, Pastor
Pastor Kurt began his ministry at St. James in September of 2001. Kurt and his wife, Lori, have two children, Andrew and Emily.
Pastor Kurt grew up in a small town in central Minnesota, where the “woman are strong, the men are good looking, and the children are above average.” He graduated from Augustana College, in Sioux Falls, S. D., received his Master of Divinity degree from Luther Seminary in St. Paul, MN, and his Doctor of Ministry degree from Princeton Theological Seminary in Princeton, N.J. Pastor Kurt likes to read, cook and travel. He has led numerous trips to New York City, working with Trinity Lower East Side Parish, and will lead a group to Italy in the summer of 2011.
Peter Narum, Pastor
Peter began his ministry at St. James in October of 2006. He and his wife, Betsy Teigland, have been married for 25 years. Their daughter, Ingrid, is a recent graduate from St. Olaf College and their son, Soren, is a senior at West High School. Their second child, Stefan, died in infancy in 1991. Peter has served parishes in Hancock, MN; Bay City, WI; Clear Lake, IA, and Madison, WI.
Peter is a graduate of St. Olaf College, Luther Seminary, and UW-Stout (Masters in Marriage & Family Therapy). He enjoys spending time with family and friends, and playing tennis and guitar, but not at the same time. Peter also sings in the Madison Chamber Choir.
Michelle Lichty, Parish Administrator
Michelle has been been a member of St. James since 1997 and began her work at St. James in September 2007. She and her husband, John, have two children, Emelia and Mary Kate.
Cindy Waldbillig, Office Assistant
Cindy has been a member of St. James since 1989 began her work at St. James in 2002. Cindy and her husband, Ted, have three children, Kelly, Ted and Joe.
Kelly Rodger, Youth Education Coordinator
Kelly Rodger was born and raised in Madison, Wisconsin and is a graduate of Luther College. She graduated in 2008 with a degree in Elementary Education with a concentration in Middle School. Kelly joined the St. James staff in September 2010 and is thrilled to be working with everyone here. In her free time Kelly enjoys reading, playing with her cat, being outside, and cooking. She also loves rooting on the Milwaukee Brewers!
Judy Fetherston, RN, Parish Nurse
Judy began her parish nurse duties in May, 2001. Judy and her husband, Rick, have been members since 1978 and have three sons, Nathan, Adam, and Michael.
Paulette Spoon, Director of Music
Paulette has been active at St. James since joining the congregation in February of 1996. Paulette works for the Verona Area School District as a physical therapist. Paulette and her husband, Ed, have two children, Emma and Evan.
Marilyn Doerfer & Alex Ford(not pictured), Organists
Marilyn and Alex share the primary organist responsibilities in addition to playing for funerals and weddings.
Rhonda Chalone, Pianist
Rhonda serves as a pianist for the non-traditional worship services.
Cory Newman, St. James Preschool
Cory is the Administrator/Director and Assistant Teacher of the St. James Preschool and has been with the preschool since its inception in 2001. Cory was both baptized and married at Saint James. She and her husband, Benjamin, have two children, Mason and Mia.
