Middle School Youth

Middle School Youth Group!

St. James' middle schoolers and friends are invited to attend youth group once a month. Every third Thurdsay of the month we will meet for some fun and games! Youth group goes from 6:30 - 8:00. Each month we will do different things, inside and outside of the church. You won't want to miss out on this opportunity! Stop by and check it out :)

Summer Opportunities

Middle School Mission Trip

This trip is going to take place June 25-28th and is going to be going to Minneapolis, MN. While in Minnesota we will have the opportunity to work at Sharing and Caring Hands. “Sharing and Caring Hands is a compassionate response to the needs of the poor. We are set up to be a safety net organization to help with whatever needs are not being met. This includes but is not limited to providing meals, clothing, showers, shelter, transportation help, rent deposits, rent help, medical assistance, dental care, furniture, school expenses, funeral assistance, and other miscellaneous needs. Sharing and Caring Hands provides these with dignity, while affirming God's love for all his people regardless of their circumstances.” We will help Sharing and Caring Hands prepare the meal that is served daily at the center. While in Minnesota we will also have an opportunity to go to the Mall of America as well as a Twins game. The price for this trip is still to be determined.

Middle School Mission Trip

St. James youth and friends, 6-8th grade, are invited to come along on a fun and rewarding trip to Minneapolis, MN.  While in Minnesota we will have the opportunity to work at Sharing and Caring Hands. We will help by preparing the meal that is served daily at the center. While in Minnesota we will also have a chance to go to the Mall of America as well as a Twins game. The price for this trip is still to be determined.

There will be an informational meeting for all interested on February 12th at 10:45 am in the Library.


Youth Fundraiser: Fat Tuesday

Tuesday, February 21st, 5-7 pm

Join us for a special meal on Fat Tuesday, February 21st, as we raise money for the Middle School and High School youth and their upcoming summer mission trips. The meal, prepared by a local chef, will include Jambalaya, Chicken Etoufee, red beans and rice along with child friendly fare.  There will be special activities for children, including face painting and mask making. All are welcome. Come and support our youth, and bring a friend!
